Speaking @ ASUG Fall Focus in Orlando

Sep 12, 2010 No Comments by

If you’re attending the upcoming SAP gathering called ASUG Fall Focus at the Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida –  I will be speaking on October 6th @ 1030.  Fall Focus is being held in parallel with the SAP Business Objects User’s Conference.

Implementing just about anything associated with the world's most pervasive ERP is going to involve considerable amounts of change.

I will be co-presenting with a client who is implementing SAP’s electronic purchasing system (Supplier Relationship Management or SRM) and the session is called:

Critical Success Factors for Implementing SAP SRM 7.0“.

While the title doesn’t sound like a typical “change” topic – in fact can be a lot of change-related impact to implementing such complex business tools as electronic purchasing.

The process changes and new workflow alone will require significant re-learning for nearly everyone who requests or approves purchases.  Considering that the organization could have as many as 15,000 employees potentially browsing and filling shopping carts… it could get complicated.

ASUG Fall Focus is coming up in the first week of October. See You There!

Come to the session if you want to know more!  For those who cannot make it, I will summarize the material in an article later in October.  Contact me directly if you want to chat about it prior to the conference. (…or after the conference too for that matter!)
